It’s Friday and I finally had the time to do a Friday Link Love post for you. In these posts you will always find links to articles, videos, social media posts, essays, blogs, shows, movies, podcasts, books and more. And my links usually cover a very wide range of topics: kids, motherhood, relationship and career advise, expat life and travel, health and death, coffee and learning, social media, blogs, books and podcasts. Topped with the occasional recipe or product recommendation. But no more babbling. Let’s turn to my favorite Friday links!

3 – A list of things that mentally strong parents don’t do.
4 – These two TV show trailers look kind of fun (with a big „thank you“ shout out to Mama Berlin and Popculture Happy Hour for the recommendations). SMILF premieres on November 5th on Showtime; The Good Place is in its second season on NBC. I haven’t figured out how to watch these shows on German TV yet – maybe with a VPN connection? Or asking Netflix to make them available in Germany?

5 – Christmas is not really around the corner yet, but I’m already keeping my eyes open for advent calendar knick-knacks. So when this calendar with beautiful hand-lettered numbers popped up in my Instagram feed, I made an instant buying decision. Hope to have two calendars in my mail in a couple of days!
6 – For my fellow fashionistas out there: the (German) blog post „Navy is the new black„, this Instagram account, this perfect fall dress, this online concept store. I love them all!
7 – Smitten Kitchen’s new cook book hits the stores in a couple of days! Deb’s first book is one of my favorites and her blog is always a go-to-source for recipe inspiration. And I especially love the „Surprise me“-feature on her blog. Today I got this sheet pan recipe – so yummy!
8 – Have you read the Maja Lunde’s book „Die Geschichte der Bienen“ / „History of Bees„? It’s a really really good read which I can’t recommend enough. And right now it seems that this fictional story is turning into a real one (read this German article or this English article). Scary!
On a personal note, I would also like to invite you to read my two interviews about moving and living abroad and the challenges of repatriation that I did over the summer.

Wie immer auch heute wieder tolle Anregungen. Übrigens: The Good Place wird mir auf Netflix immer vorgeschlagen ;-) Ich sollte es also vielleicht doch mal anschauen. Der Trailer hat mir schon gut gefallen.

mir hat der Trailer auch gut gefallen, aber ich weiß wirklich erst nach 2-3 Folgen, ob ich eine Serie mag oder nicht. Bei den meisten Serien bin ich dann doch nicht „hooked“. Was wird Dir denn auf Netflix noch so vorgeschlagen?

Das Zitat hatte ich schon mal irgendwo gelesen und habe es gleich nochmal auf fb gepostet ;-) The Good Place habe ich angefangen zu gucken, hat mir aber nicht wirklich so gut gefallen. Eine super Show (leider nur 8 episodes) auf Netflix ist „Atypical“. Unbedingt empfehlenswert. „Die Geschichte der Bienen“ steht schon auf meiner Bücherliste, nur woher die Zeit nehmen… ? „Atypical“ kommt gleich auf meine Liste – danke für den Typ. Die Zeit für „Die Geschichte der Bienen“ brauchst Du Dir eigentlich nicht freizuschaufeln. Wenn es Dir so geht wie mir, wird das Buch jede freie Minute Deines Tages für sich beanspruchen ;-). Und Danke für Deinen Link – ich werde auch nochmal nach einem Plugin suchen, damit sich der Link Up „eleganter“ und „sichtbarer“ einbinden lässt.
